No such thing as label-less experience

There is no such thing as label-less experience. This idea came to me in a discussion with someone on meditation. A goal for meditation that was put forth was to get to a state that was label-less. At that I stepped back, proclaimed it was not possible as well as reinforced that fact that it was not something that God desired. Labeling is naming. Naming is a means of connecting us to God and the environment as it creates pathways for relationship through acknowledgment of difference and function. “What do you call it” is important to sharing and if our primary experience is love, it already has a label.
